Building a company as a teenager wasn't something I ever planned—but it became something I had to do.
I was just 15, studying computer engineering in Grade 9, when I realized how expensive web development services were in Nepal. At the same time, I noticed that no company was supporting young innovators—people like me who had ideas but no capital or technical backing.
That's when the idea for Cornor Tech was born.
To make tech affordable and accessible to every corner of Nepal.
-Cornor Tech Mission
Key Milestones
- Started with just an idea at age 15
- Faced initial failures and team departures
- Rebuilt with passionate youth believers
- Launched Cornor Academy for education
- Became legally registered and recognized
The Beginning: Just an Idea
I already had some experience running digital platforms, like Minecraft servers and other small ventures. That gave me confidence—but I had no business background, no funding, and barely any experience.
Still, I believed in the mission: "To make tech affordable and accessible to every corner of Nepal."
With a few friends, I registered Cornor Tech. It wasn't easy. Some banks even refused to open a company account for me because of my age, saying: "Babu ho, aba company kholcha?" (He's a kid, now starting a company?). Teachers laughed. Relatives questioned me. But I didn't stop.
The Struggle: Losing Everything
During the first year, we failed. We had no clients. We were in financial loss. Most of my co-founders left. There were days when it was just me and one other person holding on to the dream.
Even with academic pressure and mental stress, I chose not to give up. I rebuilt the team with passionate and skilled youth who believed in the same mission.
That's when Cornor Tech slowly started taking off.
The Turning Point: Impact Over Profit
We focused on what others ignored: real value and real people. We built websites for small businesses at affordable prices. We offered free services to social initiatives and startups. We educated clients, not just served them.
As we grew, I noticed another problem—tech education was either too expensive or low-quality. That led to the creation of Cornor Academy.
We provided affordable, practical courses with features like: Free access for low-income students, Girls in Tech scholarship discounts, Full refund guarantees if quality fails, and Internship support after training.
Building Beyond Business
Alongside Cornor Tech, I also contributed through various social platforms: Namaste Nepal Youth Club – Secretary, ICT Kalika – Secretary, CIDEW Nepal – Secretary, LEP Club, Bhirkuti Town – Secretary.
Through these platforms, I trained hundreds of students online and helped promote digital literacy, especially in rural and underserved communities.
The Present: Legal, Strong, Growing
Today, Cornor Tech is legally registered, recognized, and serving businesses and students across Nepal. What once started as a high-school dream is now a functioning tech company creating jobs, training youth, and driving digital transformation.
Final Words
If you've ever had an idea but thought you were too young, too broke, or too inexperienced, let me tell you this: You don't need to be ready. You need to be willing.
Get trained. Get started. Stay consistent. Your journey begins where your excuses end.
